You are a successful sales and business development representative, focused on generating qualified leads that result in new business and Verity’s success. You are a self-motivated individual with the ability to fearlessly cold call, prospect, and build account leads. You actively seek and identify fresh opportunities to grow our business and lead companies to a more sustainable future.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build prospect lists through online research based on a defined customer profile

  • Generating and qualifying sales leads through cold calling and cold emailing

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Partner with our business development team to help fill their pipeline

  • Schedule webinar presentations for business development team

  • Describe services, learn more about potential customer’s needs, and gather other info for webinar demos

  • Qualify and respond to incoming inquiries

  • Create a phenomenal first impression with our prospects and customers by providing them with a positive experience

  • Make a high volume of daily outbound touches

  • Promote Verity’s products and solutions to help businesses offer renewable / recyclable packaging for existing or new product lines

  • Keep CRM up-to-date with client information and correspondence records

  • Deliver product feedback to management, marketing, and R&D

  • Stay up-to-date on sustainability trends and news

  • Continuously improve your product knowledge to support technical questions from customers

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Ambitious mindset and eagerness to learn and advance in the organization

  • BA/BS degree or similar college level education

  • At least 2 years experience as a successful Sales / Business Development Representative, with a proven track record of exceeding goals

  • Ability to fearlessly cold call, prospect, and build account leads

  • Phone-first mind set - ready to cold call and book meetings daily

  • Passion for the environment and sustainability

  • An optimistic attitude and commitment to authenticity, transparency, and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

  • Business experience in a small company

  • Ability to effectively research and solve problems

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Close attention to detail

  • Enjoys thinking both strategically and tactically

  • Proficiency in Google Suite (a plus)

  • CRM experience (Hubspot in particular is a plus)
